Maj. Gen. Dr. Bahaa Helmy, former Assistant Minister of Interior, said that the good planning of the Comprehensive Operation 2018, led by the Armed Forces in cooperation with the police, helps to pound the terrorists' strongholds, in addition to the choice of timing. Speaking on the program «Al-Share' Al-Masry», presented by Mazhar Shahin on the satellite channel HBC, Helmy added that the Egyptian army is writing the greatest military epic in its history, as it faces the strongest terrorist organizations in the world. The former Assistant Minister of Interior stressed that the Egyptian people trust their political leadership in fighting terrorism. Helmy explained President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's words about using brute force as meaning the use of all types of weapons to run operations against those groups, and explained that the hardest challenge facing the security services is that terrorists hide and shelter among civilians, for minds have no walls or barriers for protection, pointing to the existence of a media machine abroad working against Egypt.
