“They Thought It Was Impossible .. We Did It in 72 Hours”
We received a message from a businesswoman living in a European country. Her request: complete her civil status procedures, obtain her certificates from Assiut University, and have all her documents authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all before an important appointment in Cairo five days later. She asked us frankly: is this possible?
She had a ready-made image in her mind of government red tape and long queues, as often described on social media.
We assigned a team of three lawyers to draw up an execution plan to be completed within 72 hours, and we informed her of it. She booked her flight and arrived right away.
Day One: A power of attorney was issued at the competent notarization office, and the extracts were collected from the Civil Status Authority. That evening, one team member set off for Assiut, driving about 300 kilometers.
Day Two: He arrived at dawn, obtained the graduation certificates and the academic transcript in the required languages, had them certified by the university administration, and then returned to Cairo.
Day Three: Another team member accompanied her to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and she received all her documents, fully authenticated.
She attended her appointment on schedule and completed her mission. She then came to thank the team in person and took commemorative photos with them.
